Whether you’re envisioning classic portraits of your baby alone or a full family centered experience, we make the process comfortable and meaningful from beginning to end. Studio Newborn – $499
A peaceful, baby-led session designed to capture your little one in their earliest days. With gentle posing, soft tones, and a relaxed pace, this studio experience preserves the sleepy sweetness of the newborn stage in a timeless way.

Family Studio Newborn – $599
A meaningful, family-centered newborn session that documents your love and connection. We begin with family portraits, move through sibling moments and parent snuggles, then finish with baby's solo portraits in a calm, cozy setting.

In-Home Newborn – $699
A candid, lifestyle-inspired newborn session set in the comfort of your home. Perfect for families who love a natural, unposed look that reflects their real rhythm — from nursing in the nursery to cozy snuggles in the living room or master bed. This experience captures your family as you are, in the space you love most.

Watch Me Grow Collection – Starting at $800
The first year is filled with milestones you will never want to forget. Our Watch Me Grow Collection makes it easy to document each chapter, from the sleepy newborn stage to sitting, standing, and celebrating a first birthday. Sessions are spread out throughout your baby’s first year, giving you a beautiful, connected story to cherish.

This collection can be reserved before your due date to ensure every milestone is documented. We proudly serve families across Kansas City, Lee’s Summit, and the surrounding areas, giving you a complete first year of memories you will treasure forever.

Newborn Session Questions + Answers
When should I book my newborn session?
We only take two newborns per week to allow flexibility for early or late arrivals, since babies run on their own schedule. Booking early ensures your spot, and most families reserve during the second trimester. Be sure to reach out first to confirm we have availability for your due date.
How do we book a session?
The easiest way to get started is by filling out our contact form, emailing contact@husbandandwifephoto.com, or calling 913.687.2690.
Please note: Your session is not officially reserved until your contract is signed and your retainer is paid. A 50% retainer is due at booking, with the balance due 5 days before your session date.
When will my session take place?
When you book, we will place your due date on our calendar. Once baby arrives and you are home from the hospital, simply reach out. There is no need to commit to an exact date in advance. We aim to photograph newborns within the first two weeks of life. If baby arrives early, we typically schedule the session around two weeks after the original due date.
What do I need to bring?
Just your diaper bag and the essentials. We will take care of the rest. You are welcome to bring a sentimental item or outfit to personalize your session.
Do you provide props and accessories?
Yes. Our studio is stocked with hundreds of swaddles, over 100 headbands, bonnets, hats, and handcrafted wooden props like beds, bowls, and baskets. When confirming your session, we will ask for 2–3 preferred colors so we can style your sets in advance.
What is included in the pricing?
Each session includes your session time, 20 artistically edited high-resolution images, an online gallery, and a personal print release. After viewing your proofing gallery, you will also have the option to purchase additional images.
How will I receive my images?
You will receive an email with your proofing gallery. Favorite your top images, and once confirmed, we will edit and deliver your final gallery. You can download your images and print wherever you would like, or order high-quality professional prints directly through your gallery. Your gallery will remain active for 60 days.
What should we wear?
After booking, we will send you access to our Style & Select guide, making it easy to plan timeless outfits for the whole family.
What happens if someone is sick?
We understand that life happens. If you or baby are not feeling well, we will simply reschedule your session for the next available date that works best for you.
