FAQs About Your Maternity Experience
How do I book my maternity session?
The best way to inquire is by filling out the contact form, sending an email to contact@husbandandwifephoto.com, or calling 913.687.2690. Please note: sessions are not fully considered “booked” until a contract has been signed and a retainer has been paid. A 50% deposit of your chosen session fee is due at booking, with the remaining balance due the day of your session.
When should I book my maternity session?
We recommend booking as early as possible! The sooner you reserve your spot, the more flexibility we’ll have in scheduling. The ideal window is between 30–33 weeks — that’s when most clients still feel comfortable and we can ensure your photos are ready before baby arrives. We’re happy to adjust your date later if needed!
What do we wear to our session?
We’ve got you covered! You’ll receive an interactive styling guide after booking, filled with tips to help coordinate outfits for you and your family. We also have a growing client closet available, along with links to recommended outfits in complimentary colors that photograph beautifully.
Where will our session take place?
We have lots of favorite outdoor locations throughout Kansas City and the surrounding areas, and we’re always happy to suggest one! Already have a location in mind? Let’s do it! Our West Bottoms studio is also available if you’re looking for something cozy and timeless.
