As the years pass quickly, photographs become the keepsakes you will return to again and again. Our goal is to create images that feel natural, heartfelt, and timeless, preserving not just how your family looks but how this season of life feels.
Whether in the studio, at your favorite park, or among Kansas City's fields of sunflowers, our family sessions are designed to be relaxed, joyful, and full of connection. We will gently guide when needed, but mostly step back to capture your family as you truly are — filled with love and authenticity.
Classic Family Session – $475
A light-filled session designed to capture joyful, connected moments in a simplified format. Ideal for families wanting timeless images with a smaller gallery.

Exclusive Family Session – $675
For families wanting the full experience — more time, more variety, and a larger curated gallery that captures every nuance.

Signature Family Session – $575

We accept a limited number of Signature Sessions each month to ensure a personalized experience.
Extended Family Session – $675
Perfect for family reunions, milestone birthdays, or simply gathering generations together. We'll capture the full group, smaller family units, and candid in-between moments that bring everyone to life.

Session Questions + Answers
How do we book a session?
The best way to inquire is by filling out our contact form, emailing contact@husbandandwifephoto.com, or calling 913.687.2690.
Please note: Your session is not officially reserved until your contract is signed and the retainer is paid. A 50% retainer of your selected collection is due at booking, with the balance due on your session date.
What is included in your pricing?
Your session fee includes:
- Your selected session time
- A curated number of artistically edited, high-resolution images
- A personal print release
- An online gallery for viewing, downloading, and sharing
Additional images beyond your collection can be purchased after viewing your proofing gallery.
How will I receive my images?
You will receive an online proofing gallery via email. Select your favorites for editing, then we will deliver your final, downloadable gallery. Your gallery remains active for 60 days. We also offer heirloom quality prints and products through your gallery, ideal for wall displays and gifts.
Where will my session take place?
We offer a curated list of favorite locations throughout Kansas City and the surrounding areas. If you are unsure, we will guide you based on your style and vision. Our West Bottoms studio is also available for indoor sessions year round.
What should we plan to wear?
After booking, you will receive access to Style & Select, our interactive styling tool. It helps you coordinate timeless looks for your entire family with ease.
What if it rains or my child is sick?
If weather affects your outdoor session, we are happy to reschedule or move indoors to our studio. The same applies if your child is unwell. We kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice when possible so we may offer your spot to another family on our waitlist.

Outdoor Sessions
Light, Natural Locations Across Kansas City and Lee’s Summit
We are happy to recommend beautiful locations after booking. Share the look you love — whether that’s open fields, tree-lined paths, tall grass, skyline, lakeside views, or gardens — and we’ll match you with the perfect spot. We also love photographing places that are meaningful to your family.
What to expect
Sessions are relaxed and thoughtfully guided. We’ll suggest timing for the best light (usually close to golden hour). Most locations have easy parking and short walks, with stroller-friendly options available.
Seasonal notes
- Spring: blossoms and soft greens, March–May
- Summer: tall grass and golden light, June–August
- Fall: rich color and cozy sunsets, September–November
- Winter: clean tones with studio backup available
Permits & weather
Some venues require permits or reservations. We’ll advise you on the details or suggest a similar alternative. If weather isn’t ideal, we’ll simply reschedule or move into our West Bottoms studio.
Studio Sessions
A Timeless, Light-Filled Space in Kansas City’s West Bottoms
We are happy to recommend beautiful studio sessions after booking. Share the look you love — soft neutrals, natural textures, and cozy lifestyle moments — and we’ll plan your session in our West Bottoms studio, filled with natural light, antique wood floors, and floor-length windows. It’s a dreamy, relaxed setting where you can settle in while we capture all the love between you.
What to expect
Sessions are cozy and unrushed, with space for both lifestyle and posed images. Ideal for babies, toddlers, and families who want a timeless indoor setting.
Seasonal perks
The studio is a beautiful alternative during cold winter months, rainy days, or when outdoor heat is uncomfortable. It’s always ready, no matter the season.
Props & styling
You’ll have access to our client closet (for in-studio use), along with curated swaddles, blankets, and furniture that blend seamlessly into the aesthetic.
